Morphological Characteristics

The coenobium is of 2-4-8 cells with linear or slightly irregularly alternating arrangement. Cells more or less spindle shaped to cylindrically spindle shaped with conical and truncated tapering ends. Marginal cells bent, marginal side of young cells concave, later strait or slightly convex.
