Cells are solitary, thin, highly elongated and more or less curved, with roughly similar extremities. At the extremities of the valves there is a spine.
- Apical Axis: from 100 to 400 µm
- Transapical Axis: from 3 to 10 µm
Typical of marine environments.
Distribution: Croatia (Vilicic et al. 2009) and Romania (Caraus 2002). In North America: Nova Scotia (Kim, Garbary and McLachlan, 2004).
