Morphological Characteristics

The trichomes are solitary, straight or slightly curved, pale blue-green or yellow-green, not or slightly constricted at the cross-walls (sometimes slightly visible), not attenuated at the ends, not capitate, without sheaths (only very rearely under stress conditions with fine, thin, indistinct sheaths), immotile. Apical cell rounded, without calyptra, but sometimes with elongated, pointed.
